10th Amendment

10th Amendment

The Federal Government’s never-ending overreach and abusive rule-making by unaccountable federal agencies violates the 10th Amendment. Our Founders created a federal government with a narrow set of enumerated powers. All powers not specifically named were to be left to the states. Restoring the vitality of the 10th Amendment by returning power to the state and local level will be my goal. States must be freed to best serve their citizens with minimal federal interference. A federal government that seeks to do everything and control everything does most things badly, as the Obama Administration demonstrates daily. States are more efficient and effective at reducing costs and improving services that the one size fits all model of the federal government.
